Purchase your favorite flavored sausage, grill until done, drizzle with balsamic vinegar and serve with grilled onions or peppers, and one or two mustards including sweet hot mustard and whole grain mustard.
Corn Cumin Salad
Shuck white corn and cut the kernels from the cob. Chop tomatoes and toss with corn. Season with salt, and pepper, and add a dash of cumin. Start in small increments as cumin can overwhelm. Estimate 1 teaspoon of cumin for 4 ears of corn. You can add diced red onion or chopped roasted red peppers to this dish with good effect. Finish with a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
You can grill any vegetable from asparagus to zucchini, toss the cut or prepared vegetable with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper and maybe chopped garlic or oregano and throw on the grill.
Fruit Salad Margarita
There is no recipe. Combine your favorite seasonal fruits, washed, cut, and ready to eat. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, cantaloupe, apricots, and yellow nectarines, toss with a squeeze of lime and a tablespoon each of triple sec and sugar.
Tabouli Stuffed Tomatoes
Purchase Brandywine or other large round heirloom tomatoes. Slice off the top and spoon out the center. Fill with purchase tabouli or make your own. You could also fill the tomatoes with tuna salad or anything else that strikes your fancy.
Watermelon Agua Fresca
Blend peeled, seedless watermelon with a bit of water and sugar to taste. Try combining 6 cups of fruit with 3 cups of water and ½ a cup of sugar.
