Jumbo Red Flame Raisins

From Visalia, California sun-dried Red Flame raisins—this specialty raisin has a satisfying rich and robust flavor.
It’s perfect in many ways, besides a great out of hand snack:
- In cereals (I love ‘em in oatmeal)
- In vegetable and fruit salads
- In broccoli salads
- In rice pudding
- In breads
- In scones
- In stuffing
- In chicken recipes—Curry or Spanish chicken, for example
- High in iron
- High in potassium
- High in fiber

Here is a healthy, fresh dessert recipe which just takes a minute to make: Banana-raisin-coconut delight (I call it). It’s one of my all-time favorite.
Recipe adapted from The Late Great Health Guru, Jack Lalanne. Serves 2
- 1 lg banana
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup organic Red Flame raisins
- 2 tbsp shredded coconut
- Honey Hole Honey (optional)
Directions: In a flat dish, mash banana, until smooth and creamy.
Sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon and top with Red Flame raisins and shredded coconut. Lastly, sprinkle with honey. Enjoy.
