We highlight a couple olive oil and balsamics each month by putting them on sale to give everyone a chance to try them! On sale in June 2023 both online and in our markets:
Our savory, all-natural olive wood smoked olive oil makes a perfect marinade for meat or veggies that are going to cook on the grill. The flavor notes of smoked olive wood are similar to oak. Pork pairs well with cherries (and berries), so combining all these ingredients together makes a delicious sweet-savory meal that’s great for the grill. Serves 2.
This is a fantastic, savory martini with a hint of color that’s easy to make and is sure to impress. Our wild raspberry white balsamic is more of a grown-up balsamic in that it is more tart than our traditional red raspberry balsamic. Mixing vinegar in cocktails is a popular move by some of the trendiest bartenders, and is a combination you’ll just have to try to appreciate. Serves 1.
We love Giada De Laurentiis’ recipe for lemon spaghetti, but thought we’d try it out with zoodles. It turned out beautifully! The flavors are bright and the dish comes together easily. It’s a nice side dish for anything grilled, especially fish. The dish is lovely served warm or at room temperature. Serves about 4.
Now is the best time of year to get fresh, wild mushrooms at Sigona's! The wild Chanterelles, Morels and Porcinis are in and they're fantastic. The Morels and Porcinis are foraged from the Mount Shasta area in California. Their season is short because once it starts to warm up for summer, the growing season ends. Don't miss this opportunity! Visit us in Redwood City and Palo Alto, California.
